dance4life event 2011

Vandaag, op Wereld Aids Dag, dansten duizenden jongeren in de Heineken Music Hall tijdens het dance4life event 2011. Het event is de afsluiting van schools4life, het scholenproject van dance4life, en was exclusief toegankelijk voor scholieren die zich in de afgelopen maanden hebben ingezet voor een wereld zonder hiv en aids. Zojuist is bekend gemaakt dat de scholieren met hun acties 175.398 euro hebben ingezameld.

Schools4life

Ruim 15.000 leerlingen van circa 30 middelbare scholen in Nederland kwamen de afgelopen maanden in actie tijdens schools4life. Met uiteenlopende acties vroegen zij aandacht voor de wereldwijde aidsproblematiek en zamelden zij in totaal 175.398 euro in voor hiv-preventieprogramma’s van STOP AIDS NOW! specifiek gericht op jongeren in Afrika. Playground in Sderot

Sderot is a western Negev city in the Southern District of Israel. The city has been an ongoing target of Qassam rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. Though at first this playground might look normal, it is far from. The caterpillar on the right is in fact a bomb shelter.
